Antarctica and meteorites

Antarctica is one of Earth’s most productive places for meteorite searches: dark rocks stand out on bright ice, and ice movement and ablation can concentrate finds in certain areas. Antarctic collections include rare meteorites from the Moon and Mars, including the Martian ALH 84001. This does not mean most meteorites come from Mars.
