Wind Turbines
A wind turbine converts the energy of moving air into electricity. Modern utility-scale machines can stand much taller than a 20-storey building: average hub height for U.S. land-based turbines has exceeded 100 m. Blade-tip speed depends on design and operating conditions; 320 km/h is plausible for some models, not a universal specification. [1–3]
Turbine height and blade speed vary by model.
