Animals Process Fast Visual Events Differently
Many small, fast-moving animals have higher visual temporal resolution than humans: they can distinguish faster flicker and motion. In that limited sense, events may appear “slower” to them. But this is not a universal rule about animals’ subjective experience of time; the measure varies by species, light level, and method.
Synthetic conceptual illustration of visual temporal resolution; not a literal animal perception.
