Andorra and the war legend

A widely repeated story says Andorra declared war on Germany in 1914 and formally made peace only in 1958. But an investigation by Andorra’s public broadcaster RTVA and historian Pere Cavero found no official declaration; the only known correspondence indicates Andorran officials themselves could find no archival confirmation of a state of war. The claim that the country remained “at war until 1957” is therefore unsubstantiated.
