Europe’s wettest and driest records
The World Meteorological Organization’s records table for continental Europe lists mean annual precipitation of 4,593 mm at Crkvice, Montenegro, for 1961–1990, and a minimum of 162.6 mm at Astrakhan based on a 25-year record. These are historical records for the stated series and definitions, not universal present-day climate normals. The source item’s figures of 4,643 and 163 mm do not match the WMO table.
